1604. 'Lift up your eyes, now, and look from the place where you are' means the Lord's state at that time [from which He was able to perceive things to come]. This is clear from the meaning of 'lifting up the eyes and looking' as being enlightened and perceiving, dealt with above at verse 10, and from the meaning of 'a place' in the internal sense as state. That 'a place' is nothing other than a state has been shown in 1274, 1376-1379.
