Kakho umuntu ongabona ngokusukela engqondweni yemvelo yeZwi yeThestamente eliDala ukuthi lengxenye yeZwi imumethe izimfihlo zasezulwini ezijulile, nokuthi konke okuqukethwe kuyo, kabanzi nangemininingwane, kuphathelene neNkosi, nezulu laYo, nesonto, nenkolo, nazozonke izinto ezixhumene nalezizinto. Ngokuba engqondweni yemvelo noma yamabala yalengxenye yeZwi, umuntu angabona kuphela—kabanzi—ukuthi zonke izinto kuyo ziphathelene namasiko nemithetho eSonto lamaJuda. Nokho iqiniso elimsulwa wukuthi kulolo nke leloZwi kukhona okungaphakathi okungaveli nakancane kokungaphandle ngaphandle kokuyingcosane okwadalulwa futhi kwachazwa yiNkosi kuBafundi baYo; njengokuthi imihlabelo ifanekisa iNkosi; ukuthi izwe laseK-hanana neJerusalema kufanekisa izulu—okuyisizathu sokuba kubizwe ngeKhanana lasezulwini nangeJerusalema lasezulwini—nokuthi iPharadisi lifanekisa okufanayo. 936. Nge “mini nobusuku” kufanekiswa isimo salowomuntu osezelwe kabusha malungana nezinto zengqondo yakhe, ezidedelana njengemini nobusuku. Lokhu kusobala ngokusanda kushiwo ngenhla. Ihlobo nobusika kumalungana nezinto zentando ngoba, njengezinto zentando, kuyizibonakaliso zokushisa nokubanda; kanti imini nobusuku kumalungana nezinto zengqondo ngoba, njengezinto zengqondo, kuyisibonakaliso sokukhanya nobumnyama. Njengoba lezizinto zisobala, kasikho isidingo sokuzifakazela ngezinye izibonelo eziseZwini.

537. Umumoya othile wazixhuma ohlangothini lwami lwasokhohlo, wangibuza ukuthi ngiyazi yini ukuthi un-gangena kanjani ezulwini. Ngavunyelwa ukuwazisa lomoya ukuthi ukungeniswa ezulwini kungokweNkosi kuphela, ekubeni kuyiYona kuphela eyazi isimilo somuntu. Abantu abaningi abasandukufika emhlabeni wemimoya bephuma emhlabeni wemvelo banjengalomumoya; into esemqoka kubo, neyokuqala abayicelayo, wukungena ezulwini, bengenalo noluncane ulwazi lokuthi izulu liyini nokuthi injabulo yakhona injani. Abazi ukuthi izulu liwuthando olwenananayo, nenjabulo yakhona iwumphumela yothando olwenananayo. Ngenxa yokungazi kwabo, baqala ngokwaziswa noma ngokufundiswa ngokuthi izulu nenjabulo yalo kuyini, kwesinye isikhathi bafundiswe ngesu lokuzizwela lezizinto mathupha. Isibonelo: kwakukhona umumoya owawusandukufika emhlabeni wemimoya, ngendlela efana neyalowaya nawo wawulangazelela izulu, kepha ukuze uqonde ukuthi izulu linjani, kwavulwa ingaphakathi lawo ukuze futhi uzizwele mathupha okuthile kwenjabulo yasezulwini. Kodwa wanele wazizwela leyonjabulo waqala ukububula nokuzibhonqa, wancenga nokuba ukhululwe, uthi ungephile ngenxa yobuhlungu nosizi; ngalokho, ingaphakathi lawo elalibhekiswe ezulwini laphinde lavalwa, nangaleyondlela wabuyiselwa esimweni sawo sakuqala.
