1. INCWADI KAGENESIS

Kakho umuntu ongabona ngokusukela engqondweni yemvelo yeZwi yeThestamente eliDala ukuthi lengxenye yeZwi imumethe izimfihlo zasezulwini ezijulile, nokuthi konke okuqukethwe kuyo, kabanzi nangemininingwane, kuphathelene neNkosi, nezulu laYo, nesonto, nenkolo, nazozonke izinto ezixhumene nalezizinto. Ngokuba engqondweni yemvelo noma yamabala yalengxenye yeZwi, umuntu angabona kuphela—kabanzi—ukuthi zonke izinto kuyo ziphathelene namasiko nemithetho eSonto lamaJuda. Nokho iqiniso elimsulwa wukuthi kulolo nke leloZwi kukhona okungaphakathi okungaveli nakancane kokungaphandle ngaphandle kokuyingcosane okwadalulwa futhi kwachazwa yiNkosi kuBafundi baYo; njengokuthi imihlabelo ifanekisa iNkosi; ukuthi izwe laseK-hanana neJerusalema kufanekisa izulu—okuyisizathu sokuba kubizwe ngeKhanana lasezulwini nangeJerusalema lasezulwini—nokuthi iPharadisi lifanekisa okufanayo. 1224. Ngokusukela kulemiziyo kusobala ukuthi lamagama afanekisani engqondweni engaphakathi yeZwi, okungukufanekisa ukuthi iSonto laseMandulo, elaliyiSonto langaphakathi, laliphiwe inhlakanipho, inkalipho, ulwazi, nolwazi noma iziminya zeqiniso nezokulunga. Lezizinto ziqukethwe engqondweni engaphakathi yize zingabonakali engqondweni yemvelo ngaphandle kokuthi lababantu bayimisuka noma bangoyise bezizwe ezishiwo ngalawomagama, nokunomphumela wokuba kungabonakali lutho kuwo oluyimfundiso, kungasaphathwa ukubonakala kokukamoya nokwezulu lamazulu. Kunjalo nakubaPhrofethi lapho kwesinye isikhathi kuye kubekhona uhlu lwamagama afanekisa izinto zempela engqondweni engaphakathi, nalawomagama abekwe ngokulandelana ngendlela noma ngehlelo elikhangayo.

1876. Amabizo abantu, emibuso, noma emizi agagulwe eZwini, njengamazwi enkulumo yomuntu, ayashabalala lapho enyukela ngenhla; ngokuba lawomabizo angawasemhlabeni, angawomzimba wenyama, futhi angawemvelo, okuyi –zinto eziya ngokuya zilahlwa yiyoyonke imiphefumulo lapho ingena empilweni yangemuva kokufa, nokuyizinto ezilahlwa ngokugcwele yilabo abangena ezulwini. Izingelosi kazinawo nomncane umqondo wokuthi umuntu ungubani, kanjalo kazilazi igama lomuntu. Ukuthi U-Abrama uyini, ukuthi uIsaka uyini, nokuthi uJakobe uyini, kazisakwazi. Esikhundleni sokwazi laba ukuthi bayini izingilosi zizikhandela umqondo ngokusukela kokuqhanyiswa nokufanekiswa ngalabobantu eZwini. Amabizo nemisho ezingelosini kufana nothuli nomebuzo okukhumukayo lapho zingena ezulwini. Ngokusukela kulokhu kuba sobala ukuthi amabizo eZwini kawafanekisi lutho olunye ngaphandle kwezinto zempela. Ngikhulume kaningi nezingelosi ngalesisihloko, okuyizingelosi ezingifundise ngokugcwele mayelana neqiniso laloludaba. Inkulumo yemimoya kayiyona eyamagama noma yamazwi omlomo kepha ingeyemiqondo, enjengeyenkulumo yomcabango womuntu engenamagama omlomo, nangalokho ewuliminqangi okuphuma kuyo zonke izilimi. Kodwa lapho imimoya ikhuluma nomuntu inkulumo yazo iguquka ibe solimini lalowomuntu, njengoba kuphawuliwe ezinombolweni 1635, 1637, 1639.

[2] Lapho ngikhuluma ngalesisihloko nemimoya ngigunywe ukuba ngisho kuyo ukuthi lapho ixoxa kayikwazi ukuphimisa ngisho nelilodwa izwi noma igama ngolimi lwabantu basemhlabeni, ikakhulu ngisho nelilodwa ibizo lomuntu. Eminye imimoya, imangaliswa yilokho, yahoxa kancane, yazama ukuphimisa amazwi ngolimi loluntu, kodwa ekubuyeni kwayo yathi ayikwazanga ukuwaphimisa nokuwaphimisa ngoba lawomazwi angawemvelo kangangoba angawesiyingi esingaphansi kwesayo; ngokuba lamazwi akhiqizwa ngokuphuma komoya okuzwakala ngendlebe maqede uphinyiswe yizitho zomzimba, noma ngesu lomngenela ongena kulezozitho ngomgudu ongaphakathi oholela endlebeni. Nangalokhu futhi kwaba sobala kakhulu ukuthi kayikho ingxenye yezwi eliseZwini engadlulela ekuqondweni yimimoya, kungasaphathwa ukuqondwa yimimoya eyizingelosi ezinenkulumo eyinkulumonqangi engaphezulu (1642). Ingxenye yezwi eliseZwini ingedlulele ikakhulukazi ezingelosini (1643), okungasali lutho kuzo lwemiqondo yokuqala yemimoya, nasesikhundleni salemiqondo yokuqala izingelosi zinamaqiniso asezulwini likamoya nokulunga kwasezulwini lamazulu. Lamaqiniso nokulunga kwahlukahlukene ngendlela encomekayo nengenakuchazeka ezakhekweni zakho ezincane kakhulu—okuyizakheko ezixhumene nezihlangene ngokulandelana okuvumelanayo—kanye nemithombo yokuqala yemiqhamiso enobumnandi nobuhle obuphuma enjabulweni yothando olwenananayo, nenenjabulo ephuma ebumnandini nasebuhleni, ngoba leyomithombo ifunzelelwe ngempilo yeNkosi.
