261 - Daily and Yearly Preparation for Heaven
By Jonathan S. Rose
Veil of the temple being rent in twain
The 'Veil of the temple being torn in two,' as in Matthew 27:51, Mark 15:38, and Luke 23:45, signifies that when the externals of the ancient and Jewish churches are opened and unveiled, the Christian church is discovered. 'The veil of the temple was rent in twain,' as in Matthew 27:51, signifies that the Lord entered into the essential divine, having dispersed all appearances. At the same time, He opened a passage to the essential divine with His human made divine.
