4178. And six years for thy flock. That this signifies that He might afterwards acquire good, is evident from the signification of “six,” as being combat and labor (see n. 720, 737, 900), here, that which remained of combat and labor, and thus what came afterwards; and from the signification of “flock,” as being good (n. 343, 2566, 3518).
