And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years, and begat sons and daughters. “And Peleg lived after he begat Reu two hundred and nine years,” signifies the duration and state; “Peleg” and “Reu” signify the same here as before; “and begat sons and daughters,” signifies rituals.
