The Bible

Ezekiel 16:8

Study

8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yes, I swore to thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

Commentary

Walk

Walking represents living, and usually means living according to the true things taught to us by the Lord -- to "walk in His ways." When the Lord is pictured walking, it means life itself.

Commentary

Hate

Depiction of Joseph being sold by his brothers, by Adriaen van Nieulandt

When the word “hate” is used in the Bible, it represents the aversion felt by the good in us toward the disorder brought about by the bad in us.
