3495. 'And he said to him, My son; and he said to him, Here I am' means presence as the result of foresight and provision. This is clear from the meaning of 'he called him and said to him, My son' as that which results from foresight and provision, for reference is being made to the Lord's Divine; and from the meaning of 'he said to him, Here I am', which is the reply, as presence.
