καὶ ἐξελέξατο ἑαυτῷ λωτ πᾶσαν τὴν περίχωρον τοῦ ιορδάνου καὶ ἀπῆρεν λωτ ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν καὶ διεχωρίσθησαν ἕκαστος ἀπὸ τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ αὐτοῦ

1592. That 'Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan' means that the external man was such is clear from the meaning of 'the plain of Jordan' as the external man, dealt with in the previous verse. The previous verse describes the beauty of the external man when joined to the internal, but this verse and the two that follow describe the ugliness of it when separated.
