네가 얼굴에 땀이 흘러야 식물을 먹고 필경은 흙으로 돌아가리니 그 속에서 네가 취함을 입었음이라 너는 흙이니 흙으로 돌아 갈 것이니라 하시니라

283. The fourth generation among whom natural good began to melt away is dealt with in verse 22. Had they been created anew or received instruction in heavenly matters of faith they would have perished, which is the meaning of 'by chance he will put out his hand and also take from the tree of life 1 and live for ever'.
