60. Verse 31 And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning, a sixth day.

This verse says 'very good', whereas previous verses merely said 'good', for now the things of faith make one with those of love. A marriage has accordingly taken place between spiritual and celestial things.

10721. From all this it may be recognized what constitutes heaven, namely love to the Lord and love towards the neighbour, and also faith, though only so far as it receives its life from those loves. From this it is again evident that what is Divine and the Lord's constitutes heaven; for both that love and the faith resulting from it come from the Lord, and whatever comes from the Lord is Divine.
