27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Commentary

 

Birds eating from the basket

  

In Genesis 40:17, birds eating from the basket signify evil from the will. The birds indicate falsity from evil consumed in works of charity. (Arcana Coelestia 5148-5149)
