As has been stated, 'Enosh' means a third Church, even less celestial than the Church of Seth, but nevertheless one of the Most Ancient Churches. 'Kenan' means a fourth Church which came after the previous ones.

In Exodus 7:9 and Numbers 14:22, this signifies a confirmation of truth done among people in external worship and must be compelled by external means; among people who are, or may be, in internal worship, they are not performed, because they compel to belief, and what is compelled does not endure: genuine faith and charity must be implanted in freedom.
