The Bible

Genesis 1:20

Study

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

Commentary

Resurrection, the first

'The first resurrection,' mentioned in Revelation 20:5, 6, does not mean a first resurrection, but the essence and primary part of resurrection, which is salvation and eternal life. There is only one resurrection to life. A second does not happen, and is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible.

Commentary

Teeth of beasts, and poison of serpents of the dust

'The teeth of beasts' signify our sensory level as it relates to our lusts of evil, and 'the poison of serpents of the dust' signifies falsities that come from this, which maliciously or cunningly pervert truths by the fallacies of a person's sensory evidence.
