The Bible

Genesis 1:18

Study

18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

Commentary

Resurrection, the first

'The first resurrection,' mentioned in Revelation 20:5, 6, does not mean a first resurrection, but the essence and primary part of resurrection, which is salvation and eternal life. There is only one resurrection to life. A second does not happen, and is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible.

5825. 'And your servant my father said to us' means perception received from spiritual good. This is clear from the meaning of 'saying' as perception, dealt with often; and from the representation of Israel, to whom 'father' refers here, as spiritual good from the natural, dealt with in 3654, 4598, 5801, 5803, 5807.
