This is clear from the meaning, when used in reference to the Divine or the Lord, of 'being with someone in the way which he is going' as His Divine Providence, for strictly speaking 'providing' implies being present with someone and protecting him from evils.

3462. 'So it was on that day' means that state. This is clear from the meaning of 'day 'as state, dealt with in 23, 487, 488, 493, 893, 2788, here the state of the doctrine that is being dealt with.
