Genesis 1:11

Study

11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

Commentary

Resurrection, the first

'The first resurrection,' mentioned in Revelation 20:5, 6, does not mean a first resurrection, but the essence and primary part of resurrection, which is salvation and eternal life. There is only one resurrection to life. A second does not happen, and is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible.

7278. 'Out of the land of Egypt' means from molestations. This is clear from the meaning of 'the land of Egypt' as the place where those steeped in falsities who engage in molestation are, dealt with in 7240, 7274, thus molestations also. For 'the land' means the actual nation; and the nation in the internal sense means that which is associated with the nation, and therefore means molestation in this instance.
