That this signifies presence from being foreseen and provided, is evident from the signification of “calling him and saying to him, My son,” as being from what was foreseen and provided, because it is predicated of the Lord’s Divine; and from the signification of “saying unto him, Behold me” (which is the reply) as being presence.
