Genesis 31:42

Study

42 If the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had not been with me, you would have sent me away with nothing in my hands. But God has seen my troubles and the work of my hands, and this night he kept you back.

4199. 'For we are going to be hidden from each other' means a separation so far as the things of the Church are concerned. This is clear from the meaning of 'to be hidden' here as separation, and from the meaning of 'from each other', as those who are inside the Church and those who are outside. They are said 'to be hidden' because they have been separated as regards good and truth, and so separated so far as the things of the Church are concerned.
