17 ดูเถิด ชายผู้นี้หาเหตุกล่าวติเตียนว่า "ข้าพเจ้าไม่เห็นว่าบุตรสาวของท่านเป็นพรหมจารีเลย" นี่แหละเป็นของสำคัญว่าลูกสาวของข้าเป็นหญิงพรหมจารี' แล้วเขาจะคลี่ผ้านั้นออกต่อหน้าพวกผู้ใหญ่ของเมืองนั้นให้เป็นพยาน

Verse 17. And desires to make it appear that the affection was impure; and yet it was patent before the primary truths of doctrine that the affection was a good and holy one, undefiled with the loves of self and of the world;
