5 καὶ κατελάλει ὁ λαὸς πρὸς τὸν θεὸν καὶ κατὰ μωυσῆ λέγοντες ἵνα τί ἐξήγαγες ἡμᾶς ἐξ αἰγύπτου ἀποκτεῖναι ἡμᾶς ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἄρτος οὐδὲ ὕδωρ ἡ δὲ ψυχὴ ἡμῶν προσώχθισεν ἐν τῷ ἄρτῳ τῷ διακένῳ

Verse 5. In which state Divine Truth, internal and external, is, as it were, despised; the tendency is to return to the state of the merely natural man and to reject regeneration because there are no remains of heavenly good and truth; and the good of truth, according to the needs of the state, is utterly disgusting.
