Commentary on this verse

By Henry MacLagan

Verse 21. But if the man who has profaned the truth is not of the internal church but of the external, and thus cannot be receptive of good and truth in so great a degree, still he can worship the Lord from the good of innocence in ignorance on a lower plane, which can be vivified from the Lord, and can be reconciled to the Lord by the removal of evil; and also, he can, in his degree, worship the Lord from truth conjoined with good, which is from, celestial good in the inmost.
