4 高き所を除き、石柱をこわし、アシラ像を切り倒し、モーセの造った青銅のへびを打ち砕いた。イスラエルの人々はこの時までそのへびに向かって香をたいていたからである。人々はこれをネホシタンと呼んだ。

Verse 4. Also the imperfect affections of the natural man are removed, falsities internal and external are overcome, and the sensual mind is no longer allowed to have dominion through being misunderstood and abused, as happens in a corrupt state of the church, its true quality when separated from the higher life being clearly manifested, as natural affection only.
