8 Και σηκωθεντες απ' εμπροσθεν της Αιρωθ, διεβησαν δια της θαλασσης εις την ερημον· και ωδοιπορησαν οδον τριων ημερων δια της ερημου Εθαμ και εστρατοπεδευσαν εν Μερρα.

Verse 8. So that there is in this temptation a full manifestation of the power of Hell, succeeded by obscurity as to the life of truth, and followed by aversion therefrom.
