18 Rechters en ambtlieden zult gij u stellen in al uw poorten, die de HEERE, uw God, u geven zal, onder uw stammen; dat zij het volk richten met een gericht der gerechtigheid.

Verse 18. You shall watch with sound judgement and circumspection over all the entrances from the external man into the soul, in the circumstances through which you are led by the Divine Providence; and shall discriminate between what is true and false with unbiassed judgement.
