7 For what great nation has a god so near to them as the Lord our god is, whenever we are turned to him in prayer?

Verse 7. For what affections so tend towards good, and bring the soul to so Divine a state as those derived from the Lord as perfect Divine Love and Wisdom (as displayed in the Lord Jesus Christ)?
