Deuteronomy 20:8

8 And let the overseers go on to say to the people, If there is any man whose heart is feeble with fear, let him go back to his house before he makes the hearts of his countrymen feeble.

Verse 8. And this shall also be impressed upon the faculties of the mind by the powers appointed by the new regenerate will, that if any affection or principle in the soul wavers and is not firmly opposed to the evil or falsity which tempts; then let this principle be brought to accord with the regenerate will, lest the other thoughts and affections waver like it.
