6 And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, as she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? for I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.

Verse 6. For Divine Truth discerns the quality of the life of such in the natural degree, and also their altitude in consulting the Word; it perceives that they are in an idolatrous affection; that they are really hypocrites; and that sorrow and distress await them,
