1 וְהָיָה אַחֲרֵי־כֵן אֶשְׁפֹּוךְ אֶת־רוּחִי עַל־כָּל־בָּשָׂר וְנִבְּאוּ בְּנֵיכֶם וּבְנֹותֵיכֶם זִקְנֵיכֶם חֲלֹמֹות יַחֲלֹמוּן בַּחוּרֵיכֶם חֶזְיֹנֹות יִרְאוּ׃

2 וְגַם עַל־הָעֲבָדִים וְעַל־הַשְּׁפָחֹות בַּיָּמִים הָהֵמָּה אֶשְׁפֹּוךְ אֶת־רוּחִי׃

3 וְנָתַתִּי מֹופְתִים בַּשָּׁמַיִם וּבָאָרֶץ דָּם וָאֵשׁ וְתִימֲרֹות עָשָׁן׃

4 הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ יֵהָפֵךְ לְחֹשֶׁךְ וְהַיָּרֵחַ לְדָם לִפְנֵי בֹּוא יֹום יְהוָה הַגָּדֹול וְהַנֹּורָא׃

5 וְהָיָה כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־יִקְרָא בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה יִמָּלֵט כִּי בְּהַר־צִיֹּון וּבִירוּשָׁלִַם תִּהְיֶה פְלֵיטָה כַּאֲשֶׁר אָמַר יְהוָה וּבַשְּׂרִידִים אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה קֹרֵא׃

198. Internal Meaning of Joel, Chapter 1

1-3 To all who are of the church. (2)

4 Falsity from the sensual man and afterwards evil therefrom has consumed all things of the church. (2, 15)

5-7 Let them repent, for evil from the sensual man has destroyed the different things of the church. (2)

8-13 Mourning over the destruction of the goods and truths of the church. (2)

14 Exhortation to be converted, (2)

15 and to reflect that thus will be the last time, when the Lord will come, (1)

16-17 and that everything of the church has been devastated; (3)

18-20 for which reason there is lamentation. (3)

Study

      

30 I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood, fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes.
