8824. Moses spake, and God answered him in a voice. That this signifies by means of an influx of truth from the Divine in which was the Divine Itself, is evident from the representation of Moses, as being truth from the Divine (see n. 8760, 8787, 8505); from the signification of “speaking,” as being influx (see n. 5797, 7270, 8128); and from the signification of “answering in a voice,” as being the Divine truth which is the source. The reason why these things are signified, is that Divine answers are truths in which is what is Divine.
