Spiritual marriage

The Lord's words in Luke 20:35, 'after the resurrection they are not given in marriage' can be understood to mean a spiritual marriage. This means conjunction with the Lord, which effected on earth, but also in the heavens. This is why in the heavens marriages are not repeated, nor are they given in marriage.
