3922. “赐我一个儿子” 表这真理得到承认. 这从 “儿子” 和 “赐一个儿子” 的含义清楚可知: “儿子” 是指真理 (489, 491, 533, 1147节); “赐一个儿子” 是指赐下这真理, 这等于是承认它; 因为被承认的一切真理都是主的恩赐. “赐一个儿子” 和 “生子” 的含义相同, “生子” 表示承认 (参看3905, 3915, 3919节).

'Iron' signifies natural truth, and consequently, the natural sense of the Word. At the same time, 'iron' also signifies the natural light of mankind. These two definitions together signify the power of truth.

In Revelation 9:9, it signifies something strong.

In Deuteronomy 8:9, 'iron' signifies natural or rational truth.
