4 See sündis Saalomoni vanas eas, et ta naised pöörasid tema südame teiste jumalate poole; ta süda ei olnud siiras Issanda, oma Jumala vastu, nagu oli olnud tema isa Taaveti süda.

Verse 4. And thus it happens that, in the declining state of the celestial church, its genuine good is corrupted, falsities prevailing; nor can the affections of the man of the church be perfect as to good and as to truth, when there is no longer a conjunction of genuine good with genuine truth.
