Jesus' Triumphal Entry Into Jerusalem

This is the original text of: Jesus' Triumphal Entry Into Jerusalem, by Junchol Lee

Description:

On Palm Sunday, as Jesus enters Jerusalem, the people shout, "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven! (Matthew 21:9)"

Hosanna means either "help" or "Save, I pray." What were peoples' expectations of Jesus? And, too, what was the teaching that Jesus had in mind by entering Jerusalem riding on a colt that was bearing a rider for the first time?
