Most people are aware that Christ suffered and died on the cross, and then was resurrected on the third day. It wasn't just Jesus who suffered. In the Gospels, we can see that the disciples go from being weak, faithless men who were afraid of the consequences of following Jesus, to strong, powerful men who spoke the truth no matter what the consequences. The disciples were transformed by their suffering just as Jesus was. It's a message for all of us.
