In Genesis 48:13, 14, this signifies truth of the intellectual in the second place, and good of the voluntary in the first. (Arcana Coelestia 6267)
In Exodus 14:22, this signifies that they were held back from falsities on every side. (Arcana Coelestia 8206)
In Matthew 20:20-23 and Mark 10:35-40, this signifies that charity and the good of charity in act are the Lord's right and left in heaven. There, the right is the south, and the left is north: dwellers in the former are in the light of truth from clear good, and in the latter from obscure good. (Apocalypse Explained 600[9])
