Branch or rush

  

In Isaiah 19:15, this signifies respectively spiritual truth and sensuous knowledges—the lowermost truths. (Apocalypse Explained 559[5])

In Hosea 14:6, this signifies the multiplying of scientific truth and external knowledges. (Apocalypse Explained 638[11])

In Psalm 80:15, this signifies the spiritual church represented by the sons of Israel and the truth of doctrine from the Word. Here the original word means son of man. (Apocalypse Explained 724[24])

In Matthew 24:32, this signifies the beginning of a new church. The fig tree is the good of its natural, and the branch its affection. (Arcana Coelestia 4231)
