അപ്പോള് ഗെരാര്ദേശത്തിലെ ഇടയന്മാര്ഈ വെള്ളം ഞങ്ങള്ക്കുള്ളതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ഇടയന്മാരോടു ശണ്ഠയിട്ടു; അവര് തന്നോടു ശണ്ഠയിട്ടതുകൊണ്ടു അവന് ആ കിണറ്റിനു ഏശെക് എന്നു പേര് വിളിച്ചു.

That this signifies their quality, is evident from the signification of “calling a name,” as denoting the quality (n. 144, 145, 1754, 1896, 2009, 2724, 3006, 3421); and from the signification of “Sitnah,” as being in the original tongue “antagonism,” which is a further degree of denial.
