καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα ὁ θεὸς ἐπείραζεν τὸν αβρααμ καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτόν αβρααμ αβρααμ ὁ δὲ εἶπεν ἰδοὺ ἐγώ

καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα ὁ θεὸς ἐπείραζεν τὸν αβρααμ καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτόν αβρααμ αβρααμ ὁ δὲ εἶπεν ἰδοὺ ἐγώ
2808. 'And the two of them went on together' means still closer union, the closest that was now possible. This becomes clear without explanation. The reason a still closer union is meant here is that the same thing is being said for a second time, see 2800.
