Resurrection, the first
'The first resurrection,' mentioned in Revelation 20:5, 6, does not mean a first resurrection, but the essence and primary part of resurrection, which is salvation and eternal life. There is only one resurrection to life. A second does not happen, and is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible.

848. Who had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark on their foreheads or on their hands. That this symbolically means, who did not acknowledge or accept the doctrine of faith alone, is apparent from the explanation in no. 634 above, where similar words occur.
