That this signifies foresight and providence, is evident from the signification of “remembering,” when as here predicated of God, as being foresight, for “remembering” is looking toward anyone; and that in the supreme sense “to see” is foresight may be seen above (n. 3863); and from the signification of “hearkening to” anyone, when predicated of God, as being providence (n. 3869).
