Each of the kings and each of the nations signifies some such good and truth; “they made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, and Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, this is Zoar,” signifies so many kinds of cupidities of evil, and of persuasions of falsity, against which the Lord combated.
