4128. 'And Jacob pitched his tent in the mountain' means a state of love, the state in which the good now meant by 'Jacob' dwelt. This is clear from the meaning of 'tent' as the holiness of love, dealt with in 414, 1102, 2145, 2152, 3312, and of 'pitching a tent' as the state involving that love; and from the meaning of 'the mountain' as good, as above in 4117, here the good meant now by 'Jacob', see above in 4073.
