4094. And return unto the land of thy nativity. That this signifies conjunction with the Divine good of truth, is evident from the signification of “returning to the land,” as being to betake Himself nearer to good Divine (n. 4069); and from the signification of “nativity,” as being truth (n. 4070). From this it is manifest that by “returning to the land of his nativity,” is signified conjunction with the Divine good of truth.

4068. And Jehovah said unto Jacob. That this signifies the Lord’s perception from the Divine, is evident from the signification in the historicals of the Word of “saying,” as being to perceive (see n. 1791, 1815, 1819, 1822, 1898, 1919, 2080, 2619, 2862, 3395, 3509). That “Jehovah” is the Lord, may be seen above (n. 1343, 1736, 1793, 2921, 3023, 3035). From this it is evident that by “Jehovah said,” is signified the Lord’s perception from the Divine.
