1 In the twenty-seventh year of the rule of Jeroboam, king of Israel, Azariah, son of Amaziah, became king of Judah.

Verse 1. In that state of the spiritual church in which holiness prevails, a new state of the celestial church arises distinguished by dependence upon the Lord for aid, and succeeding a state of the power of truth from good.
