9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned to him into the ark; for the waters were on the face of the whole earth. Then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in to him into the ark.

888. Verse 12 And he waited yet another seven days and sent out the dove, and it did not come back to him any more.

'He waited yet another seven days' means the beginning of the third state, 'seven days' meaning that which is holy. 'And he sent out the dove' means a state of receiving the goods and truths of faith. 'The dove did not come back to him any more' means a state of freedom.

17 And he shall cleave it with its wings, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to the LORD.
