from the deaths of sicknesses they shall··die; they shall not be bewailed, and they shall not be buried; they shall be for manure on the face of the ground; and they shall all··be··consumed by the sword and by famine; and their carcasses shall be for food for the fowl of the heavens, and for the beasts of the earth.
In Genesis 8:8, this signifies what people in the church have in them, the word ground being used because this is a person's first stage in becoming a church.Later, the face of the ground being dried up in Genesis 8:13 signifies regeneration when falsities no longer appeared.
