There are gestures or actions performed by the body that correspond to every affection in the mind. For example, falling down on one's knees corresponds to self-abasement, casting oneself down flat onto the ground corresponds to even greater self-abasement, while a spreading out of one's hands towards heaven corresponds to pleading, and so on.
