3176. „Tage etwa zehn, hernach magst du gehen“, 1 Mose 24:55, daß dies den ihnen als voll erscheinenden Zustand des Scheidens bedeutet, erhellt aus der Bedeutung des Tages, sofern er ist Zustand, wovon Nr. 23, 487, 488, 493, 893, 2788; aus der Bedeutung von 10, sofern es ist das Volle, wovon Nr. 1988, 3107, hier das dem Natürlichen als voll Erscheinende; und aus der Bedeutung von gehen, sofern es ist scheiden.

Hieraus wird klar, daß „Tage etwa zehn, nachher magst du gehen“ bedeutet, den ihnen als voll erscheinenden Zustand des Scheidens; daher nun folgt: „er sprach zu ihnen, haltet mich nicht auf“, wodurch bezeichnet der Wille der Neigung zum Guten.

It's common to say “I see” when we understand something. And indeed, “seeing” in the Bible represents grasping and understanding spiritual things. So it makes sense that the eyes, which allow us to see, represent the intellect, which allows us to understand spiritual things. This can also be used in the negative, of course; the Bible speaks of people having eyes and refusing to see, and the Lord when He was in the world advised plucking out an offending eye. These represent a refusal to acknowledge truth, or being misled by falsity.
