Numeri 15:39

Verse 39. And the reason why the Word of the Lord is thus to be studied in its literal sense, is that it may not only be understood, but also that it may be imbibed and practised as to its particulars, and thus that the love of good and truth may overcome all merely selfish love and intelligence by which the truths of the Word are continually falsified.
